  • You can reach out to me via either of my social media pages for assistance, Olivia Laura Jewellery on Instagram and Facebook. Be sure to include your order number.

Please note that the email address contact@olivialaurajewellery is no longer in use, so any messages sent there will not be received.

  • The deadline for standard Christmas delivery has now passed, but our 10-day priority orders are still available to ensure delivery in time for Christmas.

To ensure dispatch in time for Christmas, I’ll need to receive your breastmilk/inclusions by December 7th at the latest for Priority orders. Our final posting day is December 17th.

Please find priority ordering page here - https://www.olivialaurajewellery.co.uk/priority-order

  • Please be aware that my business will be closed during the following periods due to school holidays:

    • December 18th to January 7th 2025

During this time, I will be taking a slightly longer break to spend with family as it’s the first Christmas without my mum.

My last shipping date before Christmas will be the 17th of December.

Social media messages and emails won’t be monitored regularly—I'll reply when I have a spare moment.

The website will still be online should you wish to place an order. Collection kits for orders placed during this time will be sent out promptly upon my return on January 7th.

During this time, all orders in progress will be placed on hold, and turnaround times will be paused. Production will resume as normal upon my return.

You can monitor the status of your order using the online tracker link provided in the email confirming receipt of your breastmilk or inclusions.

Any breastmilk or inclusions that arrive while I am away will still be processed as usual, and you will receive a confirmation email upon their arrival. For breastmilk/inclusions received during the closure, the turnaround time will begin once I return to work.

My aim is to ensure that current turnaround times are not affected by my absence. I put in extra work before holidays to stay ahead, so everything is on track when I close.

I thank you in advance for your patience and understanding, I hope you all have a lovely festive period!

  • Currently, we are only able to ship jewellery within Scotland, England, and Wales.

Due to new shipping regulations coming into effect on December 13th 2024, I will no longer be able to ship orders to the EU and Northern Ireland. Unfortunately, these changes have made it financially unviable for small businesses like mine to continue offering this service.

This decision has not been made lightly. I have thoroughly explored every possible solution, but at present, there is no affordable way to make it work. I am hopeful that in the future, the regulations may change to allow us to ship there again.

  • Yes, we provide flexible payment plans to ensure our jewellery is accessible to everyone. Installments can be conveniently arranged through Clearpay at checkout.

  • A FREE ring sizer is included with all our kits. Simply select this option from the drop-down menu when placing your ring order..

  • I request 15ml of breastmilk for the jewellery-making process, but I can work with as little as 3ml if needed.

Both fresh and frozen breastmilk are fine, as long as there is no mould growth.

With 15ml, I can create enough preserved breastmilk for multiple pieces of jewellery.

  • If you would like to order jewellery that includes two or more separate breastmilk samples (from different children or breastfeeding periods), an additional fee will apply. For more details and payment options for this service, please click here.

Alternatively, you can choose to combine two or more breastmilk samples into a single sample for your jewellery. This option does not incur any extra charges, as the mixed samples will be preserved together as one.

  • I exclusively use Sterling Silver and 9K Yellow, White, or Rose Gold for all my jewellery pieces.

I choose not to use gold-plated jewellery, as I am committed to ensuring the longevity and quality of my creations.

Breastmilk is precious, and it deserves to be preserved in metals that are equally valuable and enduring.

  • Once your order is placed, you will receive a DNA collection kit within 7 working days. This kit includes detailed instructions, all necessary materials, and a prepaid envelope for securely returning your breastmilk. Kits are dispatched via Royal Mail First Class within 48 hours of order placement, excluding weekends and bank holidays.

The prepaid envelope includes a 1st Class Large Letter stamp for returning your breastmilk. If you have a limited amount of breastmilk or are including other precious items such as hair, umbilical cord, or ashes, I recommend upgrading the postage at your local post office.

If you prefer to speed up the process, you can send your breastmilk or inclusions directly to me. Please contact me immediately after placing your order for specific shipping instructions.

My goal is to make the process as smooth and efficient as possible, ensuring your breastmilk is handled with care and transformed into beautiful keepsake jewellery.

  • Whether your breastmilk is fresh, frozen, or has been refrozen multiple times, it is suitable for our jewellery-making process. The age of the milk is not a concern, even if it has been frozen for up to 10 years. As long as there is no mould, it can be used. Expiry dates or the length of time it’s been frozen do not affect its suitability. If sending frozen breastmilk, please defrost it before sending to reduce the likelihood of spills.

  • Inclusions are personal items that you may want to incorporate into your jewellery, such as:

    • Breastmilk

    • Hair

    • Cremation Ashes

    • Dried Umbilical Cord

    • Placenta Capsule

    • Baby Clothing/Blanket

    • Flowers/Leaves/Soil

These meaningful inclusions allow you to create a one-of-a-kind, sentimental piece of jewellery that holds special significance and preserves your cherished memories.

  • My standard turnaround time for creating your jewellery is 2–4 weeks from the time I receive your inclusions.

As the sole operator of this small business, I take great care in crafting each piece. While delays are rare, they may occasionally occur due to unforeseen circumstances.

Some items require a longer turnaround time because they are handcrafted to order. This includes all 9K gold jewellery and birthstone marquise rings. You can find specific details in the product description to see if this applies to your selected piece.

    • Birthstone Rings: 6–8 weeks

    • 9K Gold Jewellery: 8–10 weeks

    • In-stock Silver Jewellery: 2–4 weeks

    • Engraved Jewellery: 6–8 weeks

Please note that stock issues, particularly with sterling silver rings, can arise. While these situations are beyond my control, I am committed to resolving them. If this occurs, I will work to expedite your order or offer an alternative product. Stock delays may be more frequent during busy periods such as Christmas and Mother's Day.

  • Rest assured, any leftover preserved breastmilk powder will be kept as a precautionary measure in case of any product malfunction or damage during transit. It will also be available for any future orders you may wish to place with us. No breastmilk is stored in its liquid form.

For other precious inclusions, such as hair, cremation ashes, or umbilical cord etc they will be returned to you along with your completed jewellery. I understand the sentimental value of these items, and ensuring their safe return is a top priority, alongside the beautifully crafted jewellery that holds your unique memories.

If you would like to reuse your preserved breastmilk from a past order, simply include your original order number in the online form during checkout.

  • If you'd like to place a new order using preserved breastmilk from storage, simply provide your previous name and order number on the order form for your new jewellery item. This will allow me to access your preserved breastmilk and create another meaningful piece for you.

  • Before placing your order, I highly recommend reviewing the aftercare instructions for your jewellery.

While many of our designs are suitable for everyday wear, it's important to note that some pieces are better suited for careful daily use, while others are best kept for special occasions or occasional wear.

I understand how valuable these jewellery pieces are, and their longevity depends on proper care. To ensure your jewellery remains beautiful for years, it's essential to follow the aftercare guidelines.

  • Rest assured, it is very unlikely that any issues will occur with your breastmilk inclusion. Breastmilk is quite resilient and can be safely stored at room temperature for jewellery crafting purposes. While it is not suitable for feeding, it is perfectly fine for creating your special keepsake. I work with inclusions daily, ensuring your breastmilk is properly preserved and stored until it is used to make your unique jewellery piece. Your treasured keepsake is in good hands, and I look forward to crafting something beautiful for you!

  • For detailed instructions on sending breastmilk, please refer to the guidelines provided in your DNA Collection Kit. To ensure safe transit, it’s important not to exceed 15ml of breastmilk. Sending more than this amount can lead to wastage and increases the risk of leakage during shipping. Based on my experience, double-bagging the breastmilk in breastmilk bags with a maximum of 15ml is the best practice. I highly recommend against sending milk in bottles or containers, as they may not travel well and could compromise the usability of your milk and other inclusions. Let's ensure your precious breastmilk arrives safely and in perfect condition!

  • Rest assured, I store your leftover preserved breastmilk powder securely and indefinitely, in optimal conditions to maintain its quality over time.

This is a precautionary measure to ensure I’m prepared for any unforeseen circumstances, such as product malfunctions, loss, or damage to your jewellery. While rare, this fail-safe is in place because these pieces are so meaningful and important.

Additionally, if you wish to create another piece of breastmilk jewellery in the future, your preserved breastmilk will be readily available. The amount of breastmilk stored may vary based on how much you initially provided and the number or size of jewellery pieces you’ve ordered.

  • If your inclusions haven't been sent yet, you can make minor changes, such as adjusting colours or design preferences.

For major changes, such as price adjustments, different jewellery types, or ring size changes, it's usually easier to cancel your current order and place a new one with the correct options. If you need to cancel and reorder, please ensure that you label your inclusions with the new order number when sending them in.

  • No, I am not specialised in working with other bodily fluids. I exclusively work with breastmilk for my jewellery creations

  • Yes, absolutely! You can include various items, such as hair, umbilical cord, ashes, and more, in any of my jewellery pieces. The way these elements are incorporated is fully customisable based on your preferences. If you'd like, I'm also happy to offer advice and guidance on how best to include your chosen items.

  • The breastmilk preservation video is a brief timelapse, typically lasting 40-60 seconds, showcasing your breastmilk being preserved. This option is available in the Extras/Services section of the website. Please note that the video must be added during the initial order and cannot be added once the order has been placed.

    Alternatively you can click here.

  • I usually offer sales or discounts during special occasions throughout the year, such as Mother's Day, Black Friday, Boxing Day, and more.

However, I do not offer discounts or sales when I'm close to capacity, as I only accept a limited number of orders at a time to ensure I can manage each one with the care it deserves.

If a discount/sale isn’t available, it’s because I'm almost at full capacity and don’t want to take on more orders than I can handle.

Be sure to follow my social media pages for updates on when these promotions are offered.

  • Here is a rough breakdown of the amounts needed for each inclusion:

    • Breastmilk: 3ml - 15ml

    • Hair: Small pinch, approximately 1-2cm long

    • Cremation Ashes: 1/2 teaspoon

    • Dried Umbilical Cord: Pea-sized snipping

    • Placenta Capsule: 1 capsule

    • Baby Clothing/Blanket: 1cm square

    • Flowers/Leaves/Soil: A good-sized pinch

    • Dried Blood: Small pinch

    • Pregnancy Test Cap: The whole cap, or a piece for use

These are general guidelines, and the amount needed can vary depending on the size and design of the jewellery piece. For example, a large necklace with a thick band of hair will require more than a small ring. If you're unsure, feel free to reach out for guidance.

Rest assured, any leftover or unused inclusions will be returned to you along with your finished jewellery.
